I give them credit for trying to do something a little deeper than some other Statham action flicks. Plot is too often coincidental, but it seemed intentional (just ended up being a thing I didn't like). It was nice to see Statham get to delve into a more dramatic role instead of just being the intense British guy who punches people, drives cars, and makes a few deadpan jokes.

Plot is just plain ridiculous. Actually, there is almost no story and the entire plot is based upon some irrational and unlogical moments which leads to an unbelievable movie full of annoying moments. A nun? Really? B*tch please..

Clearly by the same guy who gave us Dirty Pretty Things & Eastern Promises - but lacking in any of the interest even those managed to evoke - this simply follows a downtrodden ex-soldier wandering around the backstreets of late-night London gangbanging for Triads, avenging bullied tramps and fucking a drab nun. Never once are you given a reason to genuinely care about any of the characters or where their journeys will end. By far and wide Statham's most boring film yet.

A smarter, less action-filled version of a relatively typical Jason Statham story. He's a super-soldier who can beat anyone up. But this time he's damaged. The film contains more brains and more heart than most of these movies, and that's something to applaud. It's got one of the best Statham performances, it's entertaining throughout, and it's a little horrific at times.

This movie consistently failed to grab me. It never seemed to be able to find the right tone and stick to it. There's a lot of stuff going on, but nothing is developed well enough for me to really care about anything. There are some moments that are enjoyable enough for me to keep watching, but this movie was just too messy to be memorable.

I usually like Jason Statham's movies, but this was pretty disappointing. Maybe it was his character's attraction to the nun (?!). I kept waiting for the movie to redeem itself, but it failed, ironically.
