Very enjoyable trash. The monster is so ugly and unconvincing that it must've taken monster-sized balls to actually release this film.

Is this the best movie ever made? Possibly not. But it's just so charmingly inept that you can't help loving it. I mean: it's danish folk "comedy" mashed together with straight faced American b-movie "thrills" and written by the guy who wrote Deathrace 2000!!! Oh yeah: there's also a Dirch Passer song in there for good measure.

Possibly the only monster movie to have a mid-film interruption by the Danish Tourism Board.

Finally, my chance to name a new species: "Reptilicius". You're fired.

Something I do not say lightly: This has some of the most hilariously bad special effects in all of cinema. Worth it just for that, but it's also just a fun monster movie. The attempt at a science-versus-military conflict doesn't quite come off, resulting in some draggy bits, but it results in some cool explosions.

The Danish attempt at a monster movie ranks low on the suspense, but high on the unintentionally hilarious misogyny! The monster idea is halfway decent, unfortunately - remake! remake I say!

You know it has elements that might make a cool kaiju film, so if you squint and imagine maybe you can see a decent film out of the bones of OH HELL WHAT KIND OF CRAP EFFECT IS THAT MONSTER ANYWAY WHY DID YOU EVEN BOTHER DENMARK

Unintentionally hilarious, which makes it perfect fodder for the new MST3K. Standalone, there is nothing redeeming about this. The effects are ridiculously awful and the odd acting grates at every turn.

A forgettably bad film, but Dirch Passer is wonderful.

Damn this was funny! Naturally in an unintentional way, but still, very funny. Just every scene is filled with poor acting, unexplained facts, terrible camera work and extremely bad jokes. One of my favorite things is the american general with some danish ancestory (who btw is played by a Dane) who has a heavy accent in his first line in the movie but from then on talks without a trace of accent. The actors keep standing in formation and keeps staring out of frame for no apparent reason. Haha!

Man, those Scandinavians were even pretty chill about a giant reptile destroying their homes.

Denmark really knows how to make a giant monster film! I mean, a lot of the cliches are there (losing the monster, nonsensical science, trigger happy military), but Repitilicus itself is a freaking puppet! Hilarious acting/dialogue, great use of miniatures, and the movie even takes a minute to advertise Copenhagen's wonderful tourism industry! I don't care if it's almost 60 years later, I want a sequel!

Actually starts off good and charming. The final third is a bore, but it certainly doesn't warrant 'worst movie ever' consideration.

Sjældent dårlig monsterfilm, men masser af dansk nostalgi og en stærk hær...hehe

The shortcomings are quite obvious. This could have been a great film if not for the cost cutting efforts.

One of the funniest giant monster movies ever made. Gorgeous color photography and a modicum of suspense, but then the big puppet monster shows up and this becomes a total laugh. Not as bad as _The Giant Claw_ but a close second; shots of the monster turned up on a lot of '60s TV shows like "The Monkees".

The special effects are hilariously terrible and all of the acting is awful. There are so many different moments that brought up questions of just how this was made. MST3K: 70

Do you like horrible dialogue and badly done special effects? Well then this is the film for you. The special effects are so cheesy and obviously fake. Some of the actors are really bad and the script is weak. This is definitely a terrible movie.

Hahahaha, here is another movie I completely forgot about. It's a surprisingly decent monster movie with some really entertaining miniature sequences. Also, when Reptilicus slimes people, the whole screen goes green! It's like you, the audience, just got slimed! But seriously, this is only enjoyable due to its camp factor.

As early Euroshlock goes, it's certainly better than Horror In The Midnight Sun. Also, best flight scene in movie history. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWXhkqTXsMA
