Riders of the Whistling Skull

A routine entry in the Three Mesquiteers series. Plenty of action, but not as much charm as other movies in this Republic Pictures franchise. Has it's entertainment value, but it's clear it's just a rush number because there is hardly any moments where it gets character based except for some minor moments with that Mesquiteer who wanted to be a Sherlock Holmes detective. Which fitting as it started out as a mystery movie before it turned into a standard western.

I find the Three Mesquiteers stuff really hard to sit through, but once they got to Whistling Skull it was fun. The set is great and the action was better than usual.
