Oh baby plug some science into my horror sequel, that’s never failed before not once. Everyone is too on board with a killer vhs existing and it seems they all know the rules of it so why is it even a threat , it’s just a gag gift now to prank the pals with.Bitch please you were sealed away in a well before vhs existed you just got lucky. the moment a kid has their head tilted down and they’re looking up you punch them as hard as you can because they’re about to do some Psychic bullshit

This was kind of a mixed bag for me. I really enjoyed the theories of energy making things manifest and the little boy was kind of creepy. Otherwise, it wasn't really scary as much as the first one was. More of unnerving at times at best, but that's not much when it comes to horror.

"Ringu 2" absolutely terrified me when I was a kid and it still has some genuinely scary and chilling scenes nowadays and I very rarely actually use the term "scary". The story and writing are utter garbage but what it lacks in respectable film qualities it makes up for with plenty of creepy/scary scenes and a feeling of dread and unease throughout.

Very Good, should be watched with the original Ringu

Goes incredibly off the deep end plot wise. Seriously the story is batshit crazy and doesn't make much sense. Very forgettable and uninteresting

Not as scary as the first one, and gets really silly and non-sensical with all the business about water. I guess with contemporary Japanese films you have to put aside any expectations that things are going to make sense. It was kinda cool, but you can definitely sense the writer and/or director running out of ideas.

Basically more of the same. If you didn't really like Ringu, you won't like any of the sequels, either.

Has one genuinely creepy moment, but overall pretty terrible and silly.
