Rise

Like with most of these Disney family films we get a nice heartwarming story and some weak acting. The draft section was annoyingly inaccurate, but overall it was a good watch.

Looks so much like a direct to tv movie, if you like sports movies though, it is a good ride. Nothing special but nothing boring

I am a basketball fan, and a Bucks fan. Some of this felt very surface level, but damn if I didn't find myself invested. The logic gap leading into the third act hindered the whole experience. The draft came out of nowhere, and it was portrayed as if NBA teams had no idea who Giannis was, and the Bucks just took a leap of faith. That is totally false, there were definitely NBA scouts on to Giannis. I wish the movie dedicated some time to finding the diamond in the rough.
