Rites of Spring

This is what happens when you randomly string together the plots from a corny/stereotypical supernatural horror and a standard kidnapping crime/drama. It's like wearing overalls and a suit jacket!

[First 1/2] Odd shaky-cam mashup of texas Chainsaw, Children of the Corn, Payback, Friday the 13th etc etc. Didn't work due to he spectacularly corny dialogue and nonsensical script. Poor.

To actually start, the film takes a lot—40 mnts—for a 1h20m movie. I like Bowen but this movie was almost crap. I had to do a big effort to see the whole thing, the Horror part takes place in the last part so I decided to not stop watching but at the end, it does not pay off.

Goofy, cliched, and amateurish, but I'm a sucker for Southern horror.
