Very much a low-rent Deliverance, with added cantankerousness. It's pretty charmless; although there is some tension generated, I can't say I cared much for the people involved, so I didn't really care if they carked it. The scenery is used well at least. I wouldn't rush to watch this again.

Starts like Deliverance, ends like Predator. The motivation of the killer is a bit weak.

As others have said, this film is very similar to Deliverance. It has that whole survivalist vibe with a little bit of Slasher thrown in. The beginning was pretty good but the story started to wear thin by about the half way mark. The acting was decent but not really good, the "villain" seemed almost like an after thought added in to keep from being a complete Deliverance rip off. Overall this was decent and worth a watch but it's not really worth owning.

Not bad, but they could have come up with a better killer.

Deliverance rip-off without the tension or homoeroticism

Doesn't waste its build-up duelling banjos--these bickering doctors get right to it: "who wouldn't want a bigger cock?" Holbrook gives ten inches of effort to the three-inch script, but the comparison does no one any favours.

This feels low budget even for a low budget movie. Still has it's moments.

Falar que foi influenciado por Deliverance é chover no molhado, essa é coisa mais óbvia que alguém poderia contatar, mas não chega ao mais absoluto horror que atingiu o filme do Boorman, o que também não quer dizer que não mereça o status de culto que tem. Surprisingly good and atmospheric city folk vs. wilderness film in the vein of Deliverance, but it also has an unique feel. I appreciated the natural sounding dialogue and dynamics between the characters. They do a good job at putting you in the woods with them, so that you feel their pain and appreciate it when the scenery finally changes. The film is at it's strongest when you don't know what is actually preying them. It would be nice to see a cleaned up 4K restoration of this one day.
