An intimate look into the minds of several japanese highschoolers. With good performances all around, the movie ask the question of what being alive means for the individual in times of social harmony. The movie has just the right amount of asian insanity and lots of interesting characters, each adding to the mesage of the movie.

The film portrays the lives of a group of Japanese teenagers that don't fit into the well-established patterns that society has laid out for them. With no positive role models in sight, these kids' lives are threatening to spiral wildly out of control, and the film shows little restraint in letting that happen. Maybe a bit too edgy for its own good, but an interesting watch nonetheless.
