There's little plot & not much narrative either once the film begins limping toward its conclusion with as little forward momentum as its protagonist. However, despite the sndtrk's welcome intro to the pleasures of Blue Oyster Cult, those more interested in the stories of never-weres rather than has-beens should find the 1st half as moving a portrait of the despair that accompanies realizing you haven't done anywhere near as much with your life as you hoped as any great Springsteen song

Touching story about a middle aged roadie facing his life when he goes back home to Queens, carried by a sympathetic performance from Margulies.
