Am I really gonna claim that a movie that features women with swords sticking out of their asses, a puking robot-house, a half-woman half-tank hybrid and a guy who repeatedly gets his head stomped into his stomach needed more weirdness? Why yes, yes I am. Too much silly drama and talking, not enough crazy fun.

An evil businessman kidnaps a Geisha and her sister to turn them into cyborg assassins, and bloody insanity ensues. Some fun silliness and gore in the first 20 minutes and the last 20 minutes...but the middle is a bit of a talky bore. There's good times to be had, just not enough to sustain the running time of the movie. Too bad, I absolutely loved Noboru Iguchi's Machine Girl....this attempt falls well short of that film.

Undeniably stupid, but enjoyable if watched with booze and with nice company, who's never seen a weird Japanese movie before. I think I'm going to rebuild myself and get me some boob gatteling guns and butt-swords. Armpit swords seem quite handy too, as for knee guns. Hmmm, choices...choices... Ah fuck it, I'll just get them all

the sushi typhoon movies are not good. Infact they are terrible, but they are entertaining so thats a plus. The effects are brutal but the insanity is always kept up throughout the whole movie so that makes it watchable and maybe rewatchable one drunkin night. im slowly starting to appreciate them more and more but when its all said and done im always entertained.

Iguchi hadn't learnt his lesson from "The Machine Girl" and fills "Robogeisha" with unfunny dialogue and "plot" instead of hilarious visual gags and gore. When it's being funny, though, it's some of the most LOL worthy material in all the J-sploitation sub-genre.

Adds a not-terrible story to the gorefest of past movies like Gore Police and Frankenstein Girl. Those both suffered from trying too hard to be shocking, this is a nice middle ground. Doesn't reach the heights of The Machine Girl but comes close at times. Other people hated the drama parts but I found them surprisingly touching with just enough tongue-in-cheek self-awareness to stop them being overly sentimental.

So far, Japan's track record for TFWO cyberpunk fare remains intact. RoboGeisha may be the best place to start for those who can't stomach the more brutal stuff. Definitely shows that cyberpunk can have a sense of humor... a dark, disturbing, sick, twisted sense of humor...

This movie damn hell ass owns when it's being a messed up vortex of whattheshit and is not quite so good when it's letting us know Noboru Iguchi strongly opposes the military industrial complex. I appreciate very much that such a silly movie still strives to convey a message, it's just unfortunate that the acting is so weak that it's a bit of a chore to enjoy. Still, a robot house throws up as it flies into the sun because the man inside it was punched real hard. Citizen Kane for Millenials.
