Robin Williams is a goddamn parody of himself. This movie is so fucking embarrassing, shallow, unfunny, and headache-inducing that it almost makes robots uncool. Anything that can make robots uncool has failed completely. A "timeless, comedic tale that pushes the boundaries of animation" my ass.

A blight on the resumes of all who lent their voices. As if the listless, god-damn pointless and painful entries from DreamWorks Animation and the Weinsteins weren't enough, Fox has stepped into the ring as well. The voice work here is obnoxiously annoying for the most part, and the character designs lack any sort of imagination. When you fail with robots, you aren't even trying.

While Toy Story and Finding Nemo will last the test of time, a film like Robots will likely be one of the first of these features to be considered "outmoded" by future generations. Like most aging appliances you might find around your own house, Robots might still get the job done, but by current standards, it's a bit of a clunker.

Likable, well written and amazingly well acted by the voice cast Robots becomes a little convential near the end. Robin Williams is the stand out and Ewan McGregor plays a good role as the robot coming of age and looking to forge his own path in this world. It's solid enough but not great. Interesting enough but no magical moments that elevate it above the rest.

Good animation, but it all can be seen by the great animated short before the movie. After that we get lame kid humor (the biggest and loudest laugh during the entire movie was a fart joke; gay jokes dominated the rest of the laughs), very simple story with an ending that pours a ton of sugar down your throat - dancing, laughing, singing, hugging, every character is 100% happy. Music is horrible from bad pop songs, to insanely cliche swelling music (the kind of swelling music you hear in parodi

Seemed like just another CG animated film that was more about showing off the celebrity voice cast and less about actually creating something timeless. Ewan McGregor's casting still perplexes me since they made him use an American accent. Still, it's decent entertainment for children.

The first film of the CGI era that is really just a cliched mess. Pixar has came up with repeated original and incredible ideas thus far, so has Dreamworks; can't the creators of Robots do the same? Robin Williams and Drew Carey do good with what they have, but that isn't saying much.

On the whole, Robots is a really solid film. The characters are ones that we get to know and care about, the comedic exchanges do their job, and the set-pieces are entertaining. The story isn't involving, at least, not to older audiences, but the film around the story allows it to not be too much of a hindrance. Robots is a very good film, one that comes very close to the excellence of rival studio Pixar.

One of my favourites from Dreamworks Animation. This world of robots and old-school mechanics is reminiscent of Futurama in terms of its creativity and fun (not to mention the cultural divide). The animation is also superb and well-directed and although its not as moving as Pixar's efforts, its just as fun as the work from those guys.

A kids movie through and through. Most of the jokes were puns, and you could only really laugh at them if you were a kid. Not much there for adults. I kept getting frustrated when they did references to human idiosyncrasies that just didn't make sense in the robot world. The animation was decent, and it wasn't a bad movie, just not a lot to take away from it. There was a lot of creativity in it. It was pretty predictable, down to the musical number to end it.
