A cold-war propaganda film, released not too long after the launch of Sputnik, intended to rally public support for an anti-ballistic missile program. Based on the assumption that Sputnik is gathering intelligence for the Soviets, a spy is sent to Moscow to determine just how far along their missile program is. Surprise, surprise; Sputnik gave them all the data they need to build one nuclear missile, which is ready to launch against the U.S. (imdb)

This cold-war genre movie is so bad I can only assume it was intended for Russian dubbing and use as a secret weapon against the Soviets.

MST3K. It's hard to believe this was ever green-lighted, but here it is.

The title is by far the most interesting thing about this one. String of remarkably unrelated stories, signifying absolutely nothing (although the end would certainly have us believe otherwise). Joel: "I never knew the end of the world would be so annoying!" The rocket special effects truly are special (as in retarded); they're about at the level of Miss Mary Ann's mirror on Romper Room.

A propaganda film made without any of the overbearing fear-mongering, cringeworthy racism, or masturbatory nationalism that makes them fun.
