Roman de gare

I can't say that I love all of Roman De Gare, but it is worth reporting that the first half of the film is nearly perfect -- a master's piece.

Well-made psychological thriller reminiscent of Chabrol, perhaps with a twist too many, and I don't want to spoiler it, but one major plot element leads to a dead end mid-film and retrospectively seems like contrivance to trick the viewer. Recommended for the most part.
