In Renaissance Florence, Tito, a no-good young man pretending to be a scholar, wins the admiration of a blind man who has long looked for someone to finish his scholarly work. He has a beautiful daughter named Romola. Tito flirts with a peasant girl in the streets, and for fun goes through a mock marriage with her -- but she takes it seriously. Romola doesn't really love him, but marries him because her father wishes it. (imdb)

Cool because William Powell nails both Gish Sisters!!! How he managed that in such ridiculous Renaissance outfit will remain a movie mystery. Unfortunately Henry King doesn't seems to have much vision for Romola (1924) and in many ways wastes the Gish participation in what ends up as a fairly bland costume drama. However he seemed to fall in love with Powell who steals the focus from everyone! Ronald Colman was also there, but was totally put in Powell's shadow and was barely viable at all.
