I'll watch any nostalgic Hong Kong film with cheongsams because I really treasure In the Mood for Love. This hit that spot a bit; the love story is a bit lacking and we spend way too much time in the present. Leslie Cheung is hardly seen and seems like a background character. The modern couple keeps one-upping their knit sweater game. Fav scene: meeting Cheung's mother---so much condescension and it was the first sign that he's not that great.

I cried a lot for this and watched it several time until I understood something. The story was 85 but their acting could be 95.
