It's okay for what it is, but there are some really stupid things about it. For example, near the end there's a Godfather parody, which is ridiculous, because the kids who are young enough to find the parody funny won't have seen The Godfather, and anyone who's old enough to have seen The Godfather will think the parody is stupid. And the original and licensed songs are just terrible.

I was so confused. The movie is set in Paris but they shoehorn Asian (mix of Chinese, Japanese, etc.) people and cultural things into it all. Was there a quota for minorities? All the white families could go to Paris with a day's notice but they leave the black girl (who speaks French) behind in America? Then we meet Japanese Kira who is perfect waifu for Chas? The kids were so wild which is fine for an episode but gets tiring and gross in a movie. Fav scene: going down the slide at the park.

Marked improvement over the first RUGRATS film, with better, thoughtful character based plotting; its level of sophistication is still modest, but Chuckie's longing for a mommy allows for some emotional investment, combined with some amusing gags, especially the recurring GODFATHER parody, plus the green bubbles that feature in the second act. Still too slight to sustain its feature length (the dog escapades are blatant padding) but made even more agreeable by Lithgow and Sarandon's voice work.

Just a long episode of the TV show, but it's still pretty decent.

dunno why i always remembered the 1st movie being the better or my fav. maybe cuz the naners and spike cry. and i underestimated how much the mommy emotion holds up in paris. the rents are the only ones who dont get as much shine. but the rest of the characters handled better than the 1st movie, especially superstar angelica. i cry like 5 times

Some good yuks, quite amusing & easy to sit through. Pretty much on par with Little Nicky, only more intelligent & more sappy. Not nearly as horrible as you are thinking.

Rugrats in Paris is a shockingly effective and emotional ride. It never overstays its welcome. The voice acting is to a standard above even the venerable TV Series. The story is tear jerking at times and hilarious at others.
