Presumably the title is meant to be ironic, but it's still way too generic & obviously the filmmakers were stumped on what to call this. They were also baffled on how to get the protagonist out of a room where she has literally nowhere to go without going through her - by all indications -suddenly homicidal antagonist. It's the one huge plot hole in this otherwise air-tight and riveting thriller about a mental illness -Munchausen by Proxy - that's just been waiting to be used this effectively.

This is one of those movies going in, where if you've seem enough films, you know exactly what's going to happen and most of the twists. Luckily for Run, the movie is expertly directed, edited, scored, and has 2 very strong leads that sell the performances and keep the movie interesting. On top of this, while the story has been done before, I've never seen such smart characters in this scenario, which felt very refreshing.

A rather creative spin on the "Misery" sub-genre. Considering the very detailed and twisty "Searching" I was rather surprised that Sev/Aneesh played things pretty straight here. More of an exercise in effective editing and efficient storytelling than an inspired work.

A novel set up for a thriller that slowly gets undermined as it goes on. Fun ride though.

Yeah, this was pretty nice, very tense in most parts, even if some parts kind of require you to use some suspension of disbelief. There's no question who the villain is here right from the start, even if the script does not outright point it out, but after AHS, Sarah Paulson just really has that feel about her. Great, fast cuts, a good pace for the plot. The runtime works nicely to maintain the thrills of the story. If you loved Misery, then this one is right up your alley.

Was surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie even if it wasn't horror. Well done and great attention to detail.

For being a Netflix Movie it's a very good film. Nothing unpredictable if you have watched enough films.

It's not as memorable as Chaganty's previous film, Searching (mostly because of his great usage of the gimmick) but this is a wonderfully paced thriller. Chaganty has really announced himself as worthy of watching if you want tense movies. I think Paulson hammed it up a little bit too much, awkwardly delivering some lines, but Kiera Allen was really believable; impressive considering her lack of experience. Ultimately this isn't substantial but fuck is it ever fun from beginning to end.

I'm not really a fan of the whole Munchausen's by proxy thriller thing, it's the kind of horror that gives me an unpleasant kind of icky scare, rather than the thrill that I enjoy. I will say that the resolution almost made up for it. Almost.

I have a weakness for these types of films. The pacing is pretty good, and the performances really help carry it. It does occasionally feel convenient, and the ending scene doesn’t make complete sense as it feels very out of character. Really enjoyable thriller, even if it’s a little basic.

Chaganty (& Ohanian) surprised & delighted with Searching (2018), and while some of that flair is present in Run, there are just too many problems to ignore. Paulson & Allen are good, though occasionally dip into melodramatic overacting. The plot is just so contrived, that every interaction with a side character begs the question, why hasn't the penny dropped already? Ultimately it's not the film's predictability that lessons the thriller aspect but the laughability of sustaining the premise.

Clever. The movie tries as hard as the protagonist, except the part where the huge revelation occurs.

An adequate by-the-numbers thriller, with nothing you haven't seen before. It entertains and doesn't drag for over two hours as half of the movies appear to do these days.

Ludicrous thriller nonetheless has a number of terrific aspects: Paulson as the craziest mom since Norman Bates, protagonist Allen more than holding her own as her paralyzed daughter, and satisfying moments of pure cinema ("What color is it? What color is it?" *Cut to bright red tomato*). And in terms of representation in genre films, this is one of the most memorable steps since Get Out, so enjoy that, enjoy the jumps and twists, and banish your logical self to the corner with its arms folded.

Pretty much Gypsy/Dee Dee Blanchard's story with extra layers of psychological torture and thrilling twists. Two leads are great.

Chaganty know how to create a good, thrilling atmosphere. I'm happy to see that he is getting better in his craft. The film has a great atmosphere, really good acting, some silly spots in the story, but overall the great atmosphere lets you overlook them. A good example of a thriller.

This film comes from the same writer/director team that made "Searching". I walked out on that film near the end because, although it was a fairly well-executed thriller, the plot was sheer nonsense. This film is very similar. It has a series of very well-executed suspense sequences, but most of what happens strains credulity. I didn't think anything was as outrageous as the last 20 minutes of "Searching", but you'd be hard pressed to find much plausibility.

I feel like this operates under the assumption that the viewer has never watched a thriller before and needs a tutorial. It pretty much declares Munchausen-by-proxy to be its high concept from the get-go and henceforth "writes itself" going through the ropes and ticking boxes. And it's particularly orderly and explanatory in doing so.

Run, temposu anbean devam eden, Sarah Paulson'ın olağanüstü performansını arkasına alıp, düşmeyen tansiyonuyla içine çeken, sinir bozuculuğuyla da beraber etkileyici olmayı başaran bir film. Travma ve saplantının, korkutucu ve dramatik yönü, başarılı biçimde ele alınıyor.

About as predictable as they come, and it badly needed a sense of humor and more of an overall mystery. But for what it was, it was well executed across the board. The final sequence was a fun touch.

With an incredibly satisfying ending, Chanty's follow up to the sensation Searching is an enjoyable ninety minutes. There isn't anything ground breaking, but you get to see Sarah Paulson be bad in a part that she could probably do in her sleep. There is some good suspense, even if you kind of know where this is going after just a few minutes into the film.
