Run Sweetheart Run

Loved the first half, but not thrilled with the direction it took. Still, pretty original and lots of action.

The lack on imagination is almost always expressed as some kind of supernatural being or ancient force of nature. This movie tips the moron scale pretty far to the right, with a nonsensical monster and asinine plot and dialogs. I liked Ella Balinska's performance in this ridiculous mess. I can't recommend it, except as something to make fun of at a party. It kept you just interested enough to get to the end, but that's about it. Totally forgettable.

"Run Sweetheart Run" has a thrilling start and strong performances from its cast, but its shortcomings in the script hold it back. Despite this, the film's message of female empowerment and confronting abusive power structures is important and timely.

What if the guy you're meeting for a job turns out to be a bloodthirsty vampire? Run Sweetheart Run is an adrenaline-pumping, non-stop, highly gripping horror movie. It has not received the appreciation it deserves by both the audience and the critics. Give it a chance.
