Runnin' Down a Dream

I like Tom Petty up until "Southern Accents" at which point I lost interest. My interest has never really been renewed. I don't really dislike anything I've heard, but it doesn't really interest me either. It's a real testament to Peter Bogdanovich's 4 1/2 hour documentary that it held my interest while not really changing my mind about his music. Maybe it could have lost the last 1/2 hour.

Standard documentary style with some pretty sloppy editing. It looks like it was made from a bunch of interviews shot for other productions. I'm guessing it was made for US TV - it has that kind of quality to it. I suppose you'll probably enjoy it more if you're into the music but for everyone else, it's a long dull story of success.
