The middle part is pretty cool, when the animation style is relevant and we learn something about the creative process. The rest is pretty much self involved filler.

In a lot of ways this documentary is very cool, but I couldn't help but feel Landreth was putting too much of himself into Ryan Larkin's story. It's still interesting, and definitely worth the watch since it's only 15 minutes or so.

Fine little animated movie that you can like even if you never heard of Ryan Larkin before

Interesting use of CGI, but ultimately feels more like a tech demo than anything else. Landreth's clearly trying harder to wow the audience than to tell Ryan Larkin's story. Sometimes it's very clever or unique, but a lot of times it's just distracting. In the end I didn't feel like I knew much about Ryan at all.
