Viewed July 6, 2019. "It's rotten, but it's a revelation."

I have never been able to understand how Blake Edwards was able to sustain a career for the length of time he did.

Pointless and vaguely embarrassing.

Was hoping a film with Angel from the "Rockford Files" would've absolutely rocked. But no.

Ano de centenário de William Holden (filme #2) e Robert Preston (filme #1). O Blake Edwards quando faz filmes ruins são bem ruins mesmo, mas quando acerta são fenomenais. Eu coloco este como a segunda opção, tem falhas inúmeras, mas o tipo de sátira à Hollywood que ele faz aqui é tão sensacional que faz uma grande double feature em qualidade com Victor/Victoria e obviamente Robert Preston é um dos grandes motivos do sucesso. Passes the time.

A weird movie to rewatch; there are parts where the combination of Edwards' quick-fire dialogue and his incredibly bitter image of Hollywood really works, and there are parts when it's all just deeply embarrassing. The former outweigh the latter, not by a huge amount, but enough that I actually keep watching throughout the wildly bloated runtime.
