Tells the story of the people of Maras who revolted against French occupiers and beat them after WW1. The name of the film "The Medal That Looks for its Owner- comes from the Independence Medal, a very prestigious and honorable medal that were given to the heroes of Turkish Independece War between 1918-1922. One medal was given to Maras, the city, instead of some hero in Maras, because all the people in Maras deserved it.
