they tried hard to make it a tense psychological horror kind, leaving you wondering if anything paranormal is afoot, but the overuse of trippy scenes and pointless roaming does not help at all. It muddles the story instead of creating horror. The locals meant to be creepy were more like summer theatre clowning too silly to be sinister
