Saints and Soldiers

Decent WWII fare.

Not your typical war movie. It's almost 100% character moments and you truly begin to care about the characters.

pretty standard drama/war. the acting was fairly well done and the writing was good. if you need a war movie fix and can't rewatch saving private ryan or band of brothers than this'll do i guess.

Not sure, what was Ryan Little's point to make this movie. As R.L. was director, producer and cinematographer, he pulled most of the strings. If he was passionate to reconstruct a WWII event, then he should stick more with the real events and at least film it in Belgium and not in Utah.

This movie falls in the same categorie as 'When trumpets fade', unfortunately it's not as good. Some actors are out of place and the story suffers from some plot-holes. But if you like the genre, I'll guess you still appreciate this drama.

There are movies of war much better this what. This is the problem.
