Salt in the Wound

Italy, 1943: Corporal Brian Haskins and Private John Grayson are due to be executed after facing a US military tribunal. Fresh out of West Point, Lieutenant Michael Sheppard is given command of their execution but his incompetence leads his firing squad members straight into an ambush set up by German forces. Haskins, Grayson and Sheppard are the only survivors and they eventually wind up in the small town of St. Michele, where the locals welcome them as liberators... (dvdtalk.com)
