An Asylum knock-off better than the original? Let's just say the CG baby hippo was a more convincing actor than the Rock.

When a discredited L.A. Seismologist warns of an impending 12.7 earthquake, no one takes her seriously. Now she races desperately to get her family to safety before the earthquake breaks Los Angeles apart from the mainland.

Low budget, terrible script, ridiculous coincidences. Acting was reasonable but the story line is awful. Special effects were inappropriate for the events. Several times I wanted to just scream at how stupid the events unfolded. Not a complete waste of time, but pretty rough around the edges.

This is The Asylum's muckbuster of San Andreas (2015). For those prepared will at least will find humor in this. This is far from the worst cheap effort made. Of course they uses all the clichés possible, adding some giggle-worthy special effects to the mix. I particularly got a laugh out of the helicopter explosion where their hairs didn't even catch a wave on impact. But the thing this will most be remembered for was the very random hippo attack!!! And with CGI effects that doesn't match!
