It's not amazing but everything is good. The performances good, directing good, music good. It's a really cute alien invasion though, so I can say that. However, sometimes a light watch is great and even preferable to something more substantial because Save Yourselves! Is the type of movie you just put on one day and enjoy it front to back and move on. Those types of movies are okay.

It's a funny little movie. It revolves around how a couple of lucky incompetents stranded in the middle of nowhere manage with an alien invasion. There are very little aliens involved and the ending makes zero sense, but at least the jokes land.

Sure the movie has some flaws, but Mani and Reynolds are just so damn likable, and have fantastic chemistry. Plus I'm a sucker for a good soundtrack. The use of Wild Nothing was a particularly pleasant surprise.

Surprisingly works since it seemed like it was going to be the most annoying critique of ~millennial~ culture (it does it a little, but keeps it light) Leads have great chemistry and it moves a long at a good pace.

Solid concept, but script is boring and it doesn't know what kind of film it wants to be. Not funny enough to be a full-fledged comedy, which might have been the better route. Seems like premise might have been better served as a series.

To be fair, "Adventures in Sourdough" sounds DOPE. I like these characters despite feeling almost completely detached from them - except in moments of seriousness, where they mostly succeed - and I genuinely love the concept of being turned off from society while the world ends, even in a comedy context. I kinda wish that the guy's drunken night terrors were funnier, since it's a bit they repeat multiple times. I can't say I laughed uproariously, but I enjoyed these adorable little invaders.

It's a real shame they didn't invest in the character development from the start. The mono-pun throughout was 'gosh these New York hipsters are a bit useless' wears thin, so you don't care if they die.

They obviously just couldn’t help themselves with that stupid ending but other than that surprisingly enjoyable. Decent little take down of certain aspects of a certain millennial milieu including the desperate search for a return to the past that never existed

Save Yourselves! feels like your typical indie fare with a Brooklyn couple set against the wilderness, a sabbatical from technology, and puffy aliens. Mani and Reynolds occupy the entire runtime, almost exclusively, and they do well with a mixture of physical and dark comedy. Unfortunately, the 90 minutes runtime still feels long and the film feels slow throughout. The thematic element of escaping the drudgery of a dead-ended existence with the semblance of normality was handled well.

like a lot of relationships I know, it's fun until the baby shows up, then it becomes a slog.

Hayatındaki bütün kötülüklerden kaçan 1 çift, kır evine gider. O sırada dünyaya pofuduk uzaylılar işgal eder. İlginç senaryosu, başarılı oyunculuklarla süslenmiş. Konu güçlü olsa da saçmalamayı da başarıyor. Filmin sonunda, kalkanda takılıp kalıyor. Çok kötü son. Kalkana püfleme hoh deme pof de.

This is pretty funny and the premise is great. I was a bit disappointed because it just kind of ends out of nowhere. It's mainly just a fun movie, but it does have a little social commentary.
