Insane, intense cruelty is the calling card of the Jigsaw killer (Tobin Bell), whose twisted spirit and terrifying human traps -- recalled in flashbacks following his death in Saw III -- inspire another installment of the hugely successful gore franchise. Led by fellow survivor Bobby Dagen (Sean Patrick Flanery), Jigsaw's past victims band together to support each other. Cary Elwes reprises his role as Dr. Lawrence Gordon.

Long since lobotomized, the "SAW" series bows out on a nonsensical high. A few decent traps for the surgical horror crowd... and that's it. No amount of blood, gore and decapitations can make up for what has to be one of the worst, most rushed scripts ever committed to celluloid. Maybe this is - as jacobb1313 stated - actually Jigsaw's commentary: That we should all stop watching this crap and be thankful that not only are we alive, but that we're also blessed with not being cast in "SAW"?

Just because it's a Saw movie doesn't give it license to be shit. I'm amazed how abysmal the film's construction actually was, to the point where I was laughing in the theater ("Oh no! His boobs can't hold his weight! I didn't see THAT coming!"). But everyone else was retching and thought I was a sadist. Perhaps that's Jigsaw's grand commentary.

The thing I love about this movie is that even if it was well made it would still be a huge piece of shit. I can't believe they needed 2 people to write this script, which just consists of uncreative flashbacks and easy, no brained situations that any idiot could think of. Cary Elwes is obviously desperate for money, as is anyone else in this film. Pretty bad, but enjoyable when inebriated.

Enough already. I turned it off after 20 minutes, not because it was too gory (is it just me or have the sfx actually gotten worse?) but because it really just seemed even more stupid than the last one. And that alone should tell you to stay away from this. I think it might actually be fun with all the 3D stuff if you dig 3D movies. I don't.

And so the franchise ends with a flashback of me saying something about not wasting 15ish hours of my life edited together with shots of me clicking play on each Saw movie sitting in the dark illuminated by a washed out green filter while the music goes DUH DUH DA DUH DUH DUH DA DUH DUH DUN. Game over.

This one isn't as bad as most people say, it just all seems so pointless. I guess there are worse ways to end a series but most of the killings are lame and the cameos from past survivors add nothing. I hope this is the end of the franchise for good.

Seeing a Saw trap in the middle of a well-lit busy city really takes the mystique away. This film follows the tradition of the series to close doors menacingly and say "Game Over".

The 3D works on decent level and the movie shows violence well but something very important is missing. The movie doesn't have much story to tell. If I would watch this at home without 3D, my score would be about 0-10.

The sad thing is that I actually think that there is a good idea behind these movies, it's just that it's wrapped in this craptastic package. It is fun however to watch how the story gets more and more ridiculous with each addition. I mean by now the whole f-ing town is in on this. Points for killing that Linkin Park guy.... Eh, maybe they'll get it right next year.

This one wasn't significantly worse than any of the other sequels, but it was still pretty awful. I liked how they brought back characters from the previous films, but they weren't used well at all. The dialogue was abysmal, as was most of the acting. Nothing new with the traps. There were some rather obnoxious designed-for-3D shots too. I just didn't care about what was happening at any point during the film. I just plain hated the final twist too. It wasn't organic or believable in the least.

After seven films, the Saw series has come to an end. Or, at least, that's what we've been promised. I hope that's true. This might just be the worst film of the franchise thus far, and while it probably could have been finished after the sixth film, at least it's done now. Saw 3D is a whimper in the overall scheme of things, and I recommend seeing it only if you are someone who needs to see every film in a series that you start.

The first half, with its unrelated kills, contains some of the most entertaining moments I've ever seen in a horror movie. The rest plays out in a consistently entertaining, albeit slightly mediocre burn.

I never held the original film in high regard, but they should have ended it there. Every single addition in the franchise has been abysmal, but this one breaks into lower ground. I didn't see this in 3D but I have a feeling it would have been worse. And the final twist with Dr. Gordon had to have been the laziest writing in the Jigsaw saga. I pity those who were stupid enough to pay to see this.

Not up the par with the rest of the series. This one drops the ball, possibly because it is trying to provide a 3D experience, but also the fact that *Spoiler* every victim fails to be saved makes the whole thing feel pretty formulaic.

It's kind of a mess and has one of the most predictable twists in the Saw franchise but there's also some moments that are worthwhile (for a fan of the franchise at least) and is overall pretty passable as a standard-issue Saw movie.

The fight between Detective Hoffman and Jill Tuck continues. Meanwhile, a number of Jigsaw game survivors, including Dr. Lawrence Gordon, meet at a session of Bobby Days, who claims to be a Jigsaw survivor himself. But then Bobby is kidnapped and will have to pass a series of tests to save his friends and eventually his wife.

Special effects are solid, but the film relies too heavily on flashbacks without actually developing any kind of plot. Also, it's too predictable. Doesn't really add anything to the series, as the first couple of sequels did.

For something that was touted as the "final chapter" it really doesn't give it any reason to call it that. Nothing about this screams "send off" for the franchise, in fact it feels like the most cash grabbish of them all. They somehow did worse than the bare minimum here, and nothing really suggests this should be the last one. In reality they should've ended this after 3, but really you could've added about 10-20 min in 6 and that would've been a better ending then this shit

And in the end, it turns out that this series never had any intention - or, at least, didn't have the smarts or creativity - to tie the entire series together in any kind of "Aha!" way that throws new, interesting light on things. I mean, yeah, there's a final twist, but it's nothing more than a standard-issue retcon no different than the Amanda reveal in Saw II. Certainly nothing that legitimized why this needed to run seven movies. Disappointing.

I don't care about anything going on here -- I don't even understand what the fuck is happening most of the time -- but at least they finally found a way to bring Gordon back -- in that usual nasty fashion of piling up twists in the last 15 minutes -- and the first trap and Chester's look actually cool. It's kind of bizarre how much footage Jigsaw left for his afterlife. A serial killer who really loved his editors lol And you gotta love the self-help coach getting fucked up.

The best one yet. You MUST watch the first 6 to make the connections and understand the MANY twists in this film. And this is FAR more enjoyable IN 2-D than in 3d. Stay away from the secondary image nonsense, it only detracts from the film; as ALL 3d films are ruined in 3d.

As a longtime Saw fanboy, this movie blew my mind with how shockingly bad it was. In an effort to wrap up the franchise Saw 3D attempted to combine what would have been Saw 7,8 and 9 into one 90 minute movie. With cliched dialogue, horrible traps and creating more questions then answers. Saw 3d fails at any attempt to wrap up a series and even messed up simple things such as "bring bad old characters for a cameo".

I've lost the focus for this series a looooong time ago. To be honest, I have no fucking clue who did what in the past the only thing i know is, that you can't speak of a plot hole. You have to speak of a black hole with a small plot. Ridiculous story telling and poor acting in many ways. But there is one thing to mention. This new sequel is really gory and the traps are funny. So there's only one more thing to do: LET JIGSAW REST IN PEACE(S), PLEASE!

I got hooked by the continuing plotline of the previous saw movies, and went into this one really excited to see the conclusion. It's hard to overstate just how disappointing this one is on pretty much every level. It feels quick and dirty, like the cross between a Final Destination sequel and a late Scream sequel. Really betrays the tone of the previous Saws. I guess if you've already watched the previous 6, you might as well watch this for the sake of completion, but wow, what a letdown.

The low point of the series. I was stunned by how bad this one is. The violence is pointless and stupid, the acting is bad even by Saw standards, and it has possibly the most obnoxiously telegraphed twist ending I've ever seen. Thank god these movies are done is really all I can say.

While Saw VI was the most forgettable film in the series, Saw VII or Saw 3D is the film that feels the most "unlike" Saw out of any film. There are 11 traps in this final installment. But the real trap is being compelled to watch it. The pure terror of the original film has long been completely purged, and the plotting has grown so knotted and ludicrous that we're done long before the movie is. Also some of the worst acting in the entire series, which is saying one hell of a lot.
