Acting: Characters exploded into Meat very convincingly. Writing: The traps set the stage for Meatification very well. Sound: Meat squishing noises are high quality. I give this movie 10 Meatcubes out of 10.

Shockingly, Saw VI actually has a premise that's kind of interesting, and a protagonist who gets some backstory and whom I almost rooted for. Of course, this being the sixth installment in a series of incredibly formulaic movies, you know that everybody is fucked from the start anyway and nobody ever survives ever. Did I mention that the film is also trying to be a piece of social commentary on American health care? (1.5/5)

I gotta admit, I'm sort of tickled to no end by the fact that this series had the fucking audacity to try to make itself into a social commentary on the American health care industry. Saw meets Sicko! That takes balls. Shame the overall aesthetic and mythology have largely grown old for me.

In recent movies, the games are no longer just a way to teach people the importance of life to become personal vendettas, and it fucked with the Saw movies. In fact, it was unnecessary more sequels. But you know, they always want more money.

I'm not getting how we're supposed to care about a psychopath trying to enforce moral principles on people who are really not that bad. By this point, the makers are essentially beating a dead horse so long after its death that there's nothing left but dust. This leaves the series with nothing left to offer except interesting mechanical inventions not unlike the game mouse trap...and gore, I like gore.

Please, even you Saw groupies have to realize that this is just terrible stuff here. This series has taken a pretty cool, original film (Saw I), and turned it into a laughing stock. The dialogue in this film is among the absolute worst I have ever heard. Literally 1/3 of the movie is flashbacks (WTF?), the plot is just silly now, and the excessive Tourette's-style of editing may be cool and innovative in MUSIC VIDEOS...here it is just annoying and amateurish. Fail.

I'm pretty prone to very bad headaches, usually tied to missing medication, bad diet, lack of sleep, etc. Once in a blue moon, I'll get one after watching a movie. The last time that happened was about 5 years ago when I watched the Star Wars Holiday Special, and it just happened again. Thanks, Saw VI, for being so shitty that my brain says 'no more.'

Surprised this has the lowest PSI for me yet in this series, when it is the only Saw sequel not to suck donkey balls. It's still pretty bad, but for once I actually cared about the cop plot and for once Jigsaw didn't make any statements that were blatant oxymorons like the hypocritical idiot he is. Considering how awful IV, V and arguably III (and arguably II (and, let's be fair, probably I as well)) is this is not bad, but it's not good either.

Surprisingly good considering the last two Saw movies which ranged from atrocious to hellish, this one features...wait for it...some social commentary! It's always refreshing to see a horror movie being used as a vehicle not only to scare but to make you think (Dawn of the Dead, Funny Games) and although it's incredibly flawed here it's still a more interesting concept than the last Saw movies, or any mainstream horror movie in the last decade. Well worth a watch if you're a Saw fan.

Saw VI marks the first time the series has come close to matching the quality of the original. With some clever traps and side characters actually somewhat worth watching for a change. Not to mention Tobin Bell still giving it his all. The brutality notwithstanding, the sixth is a noticeable improvement.

I have enjoyed the Saw franchise, mostly because I love gory movies. The Saw movies and been very gory, and pretty creative. Sometimes I feel like the story line gets in the way of the gorse fest, instead of going along with it, but it doesn't take away from the film too much.

Not bad. Obviously not at the same level as Saw I and III but definitely an improvement from V. Disjointed at times though, a little too heavy with the flashbacks. I liked the earlier style with more gradual pacing, and a greater mystery component.

Some more of the same. By now all the characters and plot-lines are so tangled up in the Saw universe, that I don't think anyone really knows what is going on and why. Cheap thrills for torture junkies, the rest will feel tortured themselves.

I've been far too lenient with this series. Although "Saw VI" has the best backdrop of social commentary for its latest array of bloody mind games, the series' gimmick died after the first two films. All of these added subplots are just tiresome, and the ugliness of the film and its characters have become far too wearing. The series could continue for its fans, but it has seriously run its course in providing theatrical-worthy movies.

What can I say about a movie that got his fifth (!) sequel ? I prepared myself for total destruction, but it wasn't that bad. The gore factor increased, and the "machineries of joy" are funny and better than before. Those flashbacks every minute are annoying. Enjoyable...nothing more nothing less.

I'm not sure if I'd call Saw VI "good," but it's definitely "better" than the last two installments in the yearly franchise, and if you've sat through the previous five films, you'll definitely want to see this one. It has a good pace, creative and interesting puzzles, ties up some loose ends, and has new scenes with Amanda, so that might make you happy. This is definitely a better Saw movie than the last couple of them.

Even in spite of Jigsaw's bizarrely topical message, "Saw VI" is an almost return to form, although that may not be a very high bar to clear, a film that takes the musings of the angriest man alive, Detective Hoffman, and makes them into something engaging for a change, with interesting traps and strangely insightful commentary aplenty. The moralistic nature of the killings is beginning to get highly questionable, though. I might just wanna play this game after all, Jiggy.

Final Rating: 1/100 (F) - Saw, its creators, and its fans (should any exist), must attach themselves to chains and perpetually watch the mess that they have created. Only then might some sense finally be knocked into them and only then can this entire series burn.

At this point it's fairly irrelevant at how capable of actors or directors they get, since there's nothing they can do to make this horrifically twisted plot realistic, despite their attempts to use flashbacks every other scene to explain how 6 people got kidnapped from the same office and strapped to a shotgun/carousel on the orders of a man who died three movies ago.

Lame. Ever since its smart amazing debut, the Saw franchise has been pumped more than a $2 hooker. Here they again offer a rehash of the same old tired premise, traps, self-inflicted torture, dumb plot-line. Still as terrible as every other Saw movie, but their attempts to go Michael Moore and add some social commentary about the American healthcare industry made me laugh. Easily the most forgettable film in the Saw universe. The plot revolves around a health insurance dude who made a computer calculation that predicts who is more worthy of the insurance...which come on...that's boring. Plus, Jigsaw's idealogies didn't make a lot of sense here. He didn't allow every victim the opportunity to live. There were innocent people here that died without any chance to live. Not good. It's just more of the same. The dialogue was awful, as usual. The acting, too. There was a lot of time spent on flashbacks in this one, just to create some kind of continuity between the films. The filmmakers seem so desperate to show that they've been planning the story across these films for a long time, when it really just seems like they're making it up as they go. I think this one might not be quite as bad as some others in the series, but honestly, at this point, I just don't care anymore.

Saw never came up for a breath of sunny fresh air, even by its horrifying close. The subsequent series was admirably faithful to its more psychologically driven gimmick, each film climbing the limits of narrative intricacy and formidable scenarios, but now that everything that remained obscure to great effect in the first, and even second, Saws is now debunked and elaborated on to the umpteenth degree, I am never at any time scared by even the most gruesome contraption concocted here.

A slight improvement on previous saw films - more psychological and less blood and gore. But still a tarnish on what was a brilliant first film. At times I thought I was watching a game show with physical challenges rather than a film. Populist in that it gets at the worst kind of insurers - but this is old hat.

I was pleasantly suprised by this one. It's by no means a great movie, but it's miles ahead of the rest of the Saw sequels. Tobin Bell gets something decent to work with for the first time since Saw 2, and it has some suprisingly good individual scenes. The carousel scene, in particular, is one of my favorites of the franchise.

Definitely has the most cut and clear story arch since the first two, but it still doesn't give it a pass for the last two were all about, because it just creates continuity and other errors. The traps are what you expect, and they serve their purpose, but I just wish they played more into the background and let the writers actually tell a story. With that said, I do think it's pretty straight forward with what it's doing, and that's better than being a confusing mess.

Takes forever to get anywhere and where it gets isn't worth it at all. I really am sick of them stuffing Detective Hoffman down our throats like we give a shit about him. He sucks. Also, I barely want to touch on this because it's so obvious, but the "satire" about healthcare it's going for is so flimsy and boneless.

The SAW movies have become the McDonalds of torture porn at this point – predictable to a fault, but enjoyable enough if you are in the mood; the biggest problem with this occasionally gross but not especially scary effort is the labyrinthine back-story for Jigsaw and all of his associates – the insane amount of exposition required ultimately becomes deadening and a bit too much effort for the casual viewer. Some amusingly over-the-top gore, and generally decent performances, keep it watchable.
