Scared Straight!

I've seen this a couple of times before and I'm not sure how well it worked. I know this type of thing would never be allowed today.

Oh, Jesus. This movie is a massive joke. I was one of those kids who was shown this picture as a youngster; almost every one of the other teenagers with whom I saw this didn't identify with the kids in this movie. They identified with the *prisoners*. So for weeks afterwards, you could hear guys bellow, "Gimme your shoes!!!"

This won the best documentary award, I guess. I don't know, this is proof that the future is better. Documentaries are better now. Anyway, I was made to see this in Government class in High School. I don't think it was so bad but it wasn't so good either.

When buddy got the Oscar, his eyes were so bugged out, it prompted my sister to say that he looked scared straight too. It was funnier if you were there and, like, 14 and 16?
