Big bear of a tugboat captain Heinrich George is no match for flirtatious vamp Betty Amann! A quirky German adultery drama filled with boozing and uncontrollable lust. Dirty and gritty, and above all beautifully acted! George himself started directing this before that responsibility was handed over to cult director Werner Hochbaum. And I'm sure most of the artistic details of Schleppzug M 17 [Tugboat M 17] (1933) comes from Hochbaum's eye.
