Scooby-Doo! Camp Scare

One of the better Scooby-Doo DTV films. Noticeably better animation with good details. Everyone, including Velma, is super fit but I suppose the gang is used to running from monsters and the camp counselors are active. Friday the 13th + Creature from the Black Lagoon. Pacing is good as are the subplots, including a funny twist on the ranger being into Velma instead of Daphne. Scooby isn't too annoying. They even made a backstory for Fred's ascot! Fav scene: summer montage on the lake.

Wow, this was one of the best Scooby movies I've seen.

This is nothing special in the annals of Scooby history, but it does hold up fairly well 10 years later & it's one of the better DTV efforts of its era. The premise, which borrows from classic monster movies & slasher films alike, is pretty fun, but it's also weighed down by the massive amount of cliches the script is littered with. I know it's a bit silly to criticize a Scooby movie for being cliche, but this one overdoes it more than most. Still, it's a decent way to pass 75 minutes.
