Four writers and the most interesting thing it brings to the table is that for the first time an old man's penis actually saves a scout's life.

Pretty much wasted concept. I found the characters to be likable and there were a couple of fine zombie concepts thrown in there, but it isn't really that funny, and it relies too much on sexual jokes to make me laugh more than once. Fine acting, but the movie itself should have been better.

Scout's Guide is far from the best the zombie subgenre has to offer, as it relies on cliche tropes ridiculously, adding to that is a movie that also tries too hard to be funny, and does so to a point it makes its leads unlikable sometimes. However, this still had some moments of genuity and the effects are surprisingly decent. I don't think this will ever be rememberable, but there is definitely worse movies, especially in the zombie subgenre.

Campy fun and there ain't nothing much to it to be frank. 6 months after having seen it I had honestly forgotten I had seen it. The trailer refreshed my mind, but telling nonetheless. A mindless hour and a half presenting a decent and completely predictable piece of formulaic Hollywood entertainment. In other words waste of time.

I had a blast with this. Mostly because I really enjoy this type of adolescent romp, but Tye Sheridan is good in it, and the script has some decent callbacks and some really funny scenes. I found the zombie who sings along with the scouts pretty hilarious.

There are worse ways to spend 90 minutes, but don't bother going out of your way to see this. Drags its feet way too much and the comedy is uninspired.

The opening scene was great, but the movie that follows is barrage of teens screaming, overt sex jokes and a derivative plot, that is loud and senseless. The cast is decent, but they aren't given a lot to work with. I was hoping for something with the charm and wit of Zombieland. Sigh!

People have been toying with horror/comedy crossovers, and zombies, specifically, for decades, so unless a truly groundbreaking one comes out, your lay person has no real reason to see it. You can count this among the other endless forgotten zom-coms. It's competent enough, but hardly worth watching for non-addicts. Damn, I'm really starting to sound like a zombie snob.

Or course this film was filled with sexual jokes, absurd zombie moments and downright filthy dialogue. Anyone expecting a masterpiece entered the wrong movie and found themselves disappointed. I liked this movie from start to finish. It had good jokes, fun antics and cool zombie kills. It was the Superbad of Zombie comedy films.

There should be a separate rating scale for movies like this. I mean, this is what you get when you take a Troma movie, give them a budget, and a distribution platform that doesn't include either VHS or YouTube. That said, I enjoyed it very much, in the same way that I enjoyed the Toxic Avenger, Poultrygeist and Terror Firmer. This unfortunately lacked some of the charm that comes from having Lloyd Kaufman at the helm, but it makes up for it with production values.

This film has a really bad script. This could have been a fun zombie comedy but the script is very weak. The characters are unrealistic and the script is predictable.

Silly throw away zombie film that doesn't have much going for it. Relies too much on sex gags rather than actual comedy. Ending is predictable and has been done better.

Totally beyond the realm of belief. I couldn't envision the David Koechner's character molesting any of the three scouts.

Top badass moment? Losing count of the number of decapitations; doesn’t happen often. Having said that, a lot would've needed a VAR check to determine if they were actual decapitations or just serious head traumas… and we all know that way madness lies. And where’s the $"&@! inverted comma?! Surely it should be “Scout’s”, “Scouts'" or "The Scouts"? A punctuation Nazi I might be, but that’s still annoying. A shame, as the rest of the film’s great. 9 cats, ‘several’ decapitations and no chainsaws.

No one would confuse this with high art and it’s pretty derivative, but the gore effects are surprisingly well done and there’s worse ways to spend 90 minutes.

It's a rated r version of zombie land. I'm up for sexual innuendos but this movie over did it. Likable characters though. But the writers could've done a better job with the dialogue.

I had fun. It's a goofy, cartoony, adolescent zombie movie with lots of cheesy gore and dumbass humor. It's not particularly well made and certainly ain't gonna win any awards, but come on. What do you want out of a boy scouts vs. zombies movie?

Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse (2015) is probable the best stupid ass juvenile comedy of the year! Where zombie movies have become stale, this one sparks up the gory slaughter with a smug take on the clichés and a beautifully lame coming of age story between scout pals. Simply entertaining all the way through considering all the idiocy.

Just when you're tempted to think you've seen it all, some random filmmaker takes that as a dare and dreams up unthinkable ways to do very, very, very bad things to every conceivable part of the human body. The decaying undead meet their ends in Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse in myriad ways, of course. Heads get removed, pulverized, slammed, blow up, blown off, cut off, run through and generally beaten to a brain-dead pulp. That part of the fright flick is ghastly, but, alas, not unexpect

Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse is an R-rated horror-comedy that doesn't want to use its premise for much physical comedy - outside of some sexual jokes involving the zombies; yes, really - and whose spoken sense of humor will only appeal to those who are far too young to see it. It doesn't want to take its setup in any way that is fresh or interesting. It's bland, uninventive, stupid, and fails to make up for this with its over-the-top conclusion, which comes too late and is poorly made.
