Sigur Ros is wonderful and Bjork's interviews are lovely like always. But the problem with this documentary is that it's not really a documentary, it's more like a 90 minute advert for Iceland's music scene. Some cool concert clips but for the most part, not that great, just cheerleading like chemtrails* said.

yeah the narration isn't that convincing, but you can't argue with the music

the actual documentary could've been more interesting, but that's not really the point. mostly this is just a continuous concert of very good (and very differently good) pop, rock, electronic and orchestral music, or often, in a way that seems to be peculiarly icelandic, a strange mixture of the above. who cares if it's cheerleading - actually, isn't a portrayal of music of this kind inherently celebratory?
