Seducing Doctor Lewis

Entertaining and enjoyable feel-good eccentric comedy feels distinctly British, evoking memories of the gently cheeky/risqué "Sunday matinee" comedies from the 90s. Arguably a bit of a shame that this Canadian production adds little of its own flavour to a fairly familiar stew, but this is still a lot of fun, with a likable cast helping to smooth over the gaps in credibility (story wise and character wise) which are par for the course in this sort of film.

Veeeerrrry Quebecois, and surprisingly warm-hearted and charming, considering how cheesy it can be at times.

A warm movie... the movie like the story about how the little village grows into the doctor grows into you as well. Its really a nice movie funny movie to watch for a change.

Film won an Audience Award in Sundance FF and this achievement made me watch it. Its warm-hearted comedy, where jokes are delicate and effective. Looks like whole cast is enjoying its work and its pleasure to watch.
