A great comedy taking place in late Ottoman Istanbul. A whore house in Istanbul being a frequented place for higher statesmen is constantly bribing corrupted police captain Ziver in order to avoid closure. A naive officer of Ziver however, falls in love with one of the prostitutes of the house called Sekerpare and things start to be complicated from this point on.

This movie and the humor of this film is genius wise. Act and Cast is great. The message and the story is cliche but very delicate and rightgeous. Şener Şen is a genius and Atif Yilmaz the director is too. This is so funny. ---------------------------------- Büyük usta Atıf Yılmaz yönetmiş, bir diğer büyük usta Yavuz Turgul yazmış bir diğer büyük usta Şener Şen oynamış. Hem çok sosyopolitik bir mesajı var hemde deha seviyede bir mizahı bence en güçlü filmlerden biri.
