Intriguing slice-of-life doco; shot as a series of "selfie" videos, it sometimes has the unmistakable feel of a reality TV experiment, with some moments of drama and revelation feeling somewhat staged for the cameras. The two central "characters" are likable enough, and the first (second?) person perspective does an effective job of capturing the look and feel of their world. Not sure whether the gimmick adds immeasurably more to this had it been filmed more conventionally.

A slice of life and love inside a neighborhood that is (rightfully) described as dominated by death and lack of hope. You can still see all of that in the background; but like what happens in any selfie, the individualities are put in the foreground and everything behind it slightly out of focus. Inside the friendship of two honest teenagers, you can still find something heartwarming, a rose in an arid land. Before anything else, look at the humanity in front of you.
