I'm impressed. Judging from the beginning of the film, I expected a soso movie (since sadly, many German/Swiss/Austrian movies are just that) but I was pleasantly surprised. While there were a few scenes that repulsed me (rape scenes are just so much worse than anything bloody and gory, in my opinion) - it all made sense in the context. And I loved the editing, it gave the whole movie a twist, that lifted it on a new level. Last thing: I had to watch it with subs, Swiss German is really hard.

Macabre, stylish, and whip-smart. This horror-themed fairytale has a lot going for it, starting as a straight police mystery set in the stunning Swiss Alps, and slowly introducing subtle dashes of supernatural phenomena. It then turns tense, gruesome and thrilling as evil turns upon the heroes. Ok, it doesn't hurt that the natural scenery looks AMAZING, but also they nailed the casting, cinematography, editing, camerawork... the whole package. On this evidence the Swiss should make more films.

Very good Swiss thriller mystery. Inventive and with quite powerful imagery.
