Its probably a good movie to see with your date. The movie is well paced, Jeremy Piven gives a good performance. Enough said, as it might not be everyones cup of tea.

John Cusack, who is in some of my favorite movies of all time, is personally responsible for making me watch more terrible movies than anyone outside of Steven Seagal.

Fluffy and cutesy romantic comedy gets passed by the skin of its teeth thanks to a charming supporting cast (Levy is a particular delight) and its generally cozy and appealing view of a pre-9/11 New York. Cusack and Beckinsale are at times an irritatingly smug coupling and really hold this back from being a time-waster you might want to return to. Still enjoyable enough for what it is.

A heart warming, feel good, likably predictable romantic comedy in which the charm of John Cusack and his chemistry with Kate Beckinsale shines.

The usual cliche drivel. It has its mild comedic moments but in the end is just another Cusack romantic comedy.

Beckinsale's character gets a little annoying, but still a nice date movie. Eugene Levy, as usual, adds something good to the film.

Managed to be a pretty decent romantic comedy. Doesn't really stand out that much except for John Cusack and Jeremy Piven. Piven, especially, needs to do more films. It pains me to see him in a film like this and realize that he could be doing something better.

This is one of those adorable films that I just can't help but really like a lot. The chemistry between John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale is fantastic, the supporting performances from Jeremy Piven and Molly Shannon are great and the small role from Eugene Levy is a little over the top but still very enjoyable. It's written well and full of near-misses so you keep cheering until the end...then you may or may not cry.

Not a word we have an equivalent one for in our Norwegian language, but you can still "get it". And wouldn't it be wonderful if life really was like this? Siiigghh, but as silly as it is, it's also quite romantic, so perfect for dates.

After you realize that Jon's entire story arc is going to continue to repeat itself right up until the film's conclusion, you start to get bored. The dialogue wasn't humorous, and neither were any of the situations. The characters were not terrible, and you will certainly hope for them to succeed by the end, but the story they're a part of is too easy to predict to make it worthwhile of a watch.

I think this movie is a lot better than most people would probably expect. John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale give really great performances and have great chemistry here, and there's some solid funny moments throughout. Better than most rom coms imo. The supporting cast is great too, with Jeremy Piven, Eugene Levy, Molly Shannon, and John Corbett all having some fun moments.
