Serene Velocity

Interesting in how it plays with perceptions of space and visual depth. I was also surprised to see how many things I suddenly noticed as time went on.

Of all the abstract shorts I've come across this, so far, has been the most compelling. At first you start to think "Wow, this is going to give me a goddamn headache" but as time goes on it begins to mess with your perception of space and depth. It's not great or anything, and often times it comes across as stupid and pointless, but I liked it for what it was. Very immersive.

playing around with camera position to hypnotise the viewer until everything becomes a series of pulsating rectangles. beautiful. unfortunately, like WAVELENGTH, only available as a very low quality internet copy unless one is willing to fly off to some distant land to see a screening.

A test of different focal lengths on a zoom lens, relative to the position of the camera. Yes, it is edited to create a blurringly fast repetition, producing a psychedelic effect... but there is nothing else to it, only the viewer's imagination.

Argh!
