50 Cent doesn't have the acting ability to make this a serious drama like they want. The story has been done a million times and there are some seriously stupid moments. Maybe with some decent writing and good acting from the lead, this could be a recommendation or at least close. But it's not, and the music really pushes how SERIOUS it's trying to be but again, it fails.

Painfully generic. 50 Cent is one of the worst actors. Bruce Willis phones it in. Nothing in this movie is really interesting, but at the same time it isn't terrible, just below average.

My Thoughts: "This movie is a perfect example of being blinded by the actor's you may like/love and not looking too much into the story beforehand. Love Bruce, like Ryan, so obviously I would over look 50 Cent and watch the movie. Mistake of course. I don't even think 50 Cent was that bad in it (although his character isn't very believable) but he definitely isn't amazing either. Some should just stick to their music careers. This is what happens when everyone around you is probably too terrified to tell you to your face that you possess no talent for acting and that you should get the fuck off the studio lot and exit the film business unless you're a cash investor. I'm still trying to figure out if Fiddy Cent funded this himself or not. Studio execs obviously pushed a purely throwaway script into this. All the actual actors looked bored and stiff. Not a shred of effort went into making this uninspired pile of shit.

The movie is missing some flow or energy or something. I just don't care about the characters and what they are doing. Bruce Willis is on automatic, no inspiration there either. And what's wrong with 50 cent's teeth? They are whiter than snow white's bare ass. I cannot stop staring at them. Ryan Phillippe tries hard to act like a bad boy, but he just comes off as a spoiled brat.

50 Cent is so wooden it's almost interesting to watch him. Easily disappears into the Action, Crime, Drama genre pool along with so many other films with similar plots. It's also a mortgage payer for Bruce Willis.

There is no reason to watch Setup. None. There is nothing here that is of any value. There is no excitement, no thrills, no lesson, and you'll feel like you wasted your life watching it. Your entire life, even though it only lasts for just under 90 minutes. I can't think of a more boring movie at the moment, and this one was supposed to be thrilling. It's like watching the life slowly being sucked out of you. Actually, that would be more exciting.

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson isn't a terrible actor but he sure as shit isn't good and he certainly isn't able to carry a film. The whole thing is just a basic, generic, two dimensional crime drama that plays it safe and strives for mediocrity. While Randy Couture is in no way a great actor he was completely wasted in this. Bruce Willis does a little as possible here and it shows. Ryan Phillippe does well with what little he's been given.

It was awful and definitely not worthy of having Bruce Willis on the cover, nor as the second credit, legitimately he is probably fifth.

50 ounce, er, 50 bent, no... 50 cent? Well; he sucks at acting even more than at 'raping', but an otherwise interesting story and great cast.

Somewhat entertaining but cheesy to the max. Ryan Phillippe's character was nothing and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson is really only capable of flashing his pitch white grill.

It was so bad, that I was just watching it till the end only for reason to give it 2/100 in here.

Haven't encountered bad writing, editing, acting like this in a long time. Needed subtitles to understand Fitty

50 cent should have stuck to that thing he does they call music. And he's not even the worst actor in this movie. It's a good thing my media player lets me play a movie in x1.5 or double the speed. Less time wasted.
