While promoting another film, a hotel manager was so caught up in the onscreen chemistry of Powell & Loy he booked a marital suite for them in San Francisco, even though Powell was dating Jean Harlow at the time. Powell stayed the night in a hotel closet like a boss while Harlow & Loy stayed up drinking and playing games. Which is to say, the Powell/Loy coupling was so vivacious and energetic not even a subpar film - like this one, which keeps them separated for far too long - could stop it.

Has a more liberal take on the laughs than the first two, the result is a more entertaining but less intelligent movie.

A few good laughs at the wrestling match--along with the usual coterie of one-liners ("They're very strict at this track," "What a screwy-looking hat!"). Myrna maintains her matchless mixture of cool elegance and distinctive daffiness throughout (sort of like Goldie Hawn meets Grace Kelly). And she does indeed wear some funny-looking hats in this one.

The series is showing its age, but it remains a fun time overall. The action and dialogue limp along here in comparison to the first two films, which means that even at 96 minutes, the time seems to pass slowly. Loy and Powell still manage to squeeze some nice moments out, and van Dyke has an excellent edit from the park bench to the martini shaker early in the film.

In a reversal of the series trend, the mystery is now more intriguing while the comedy is less witty. Powell gets to do more detective work which is great, but reduces his screentime with loy which is a shame. Still has its great moments between them and enough to keep the series alive, but im concerned what the next entry is like

It's a thin man film, so of course it'll be fun thanks to the rapport between Powell and Loy. It's not as good as it's predecessors, but enjoyable enough.

A Thin Man, a little wrestling and a hell of a lot of fun! The formula for this lovable murder mystery, which brings on another quality entry in the William Powell & Myrna Loy catalog. It's one you can sit back and enjoy knowing you're going to be entertained.

Not many films maintain themselves past 3 movies and keep being cool and funny without weakening the plot. William Powell continues to charm.

Progressing through my copy of The Thin Man set, Shadow of the Thin Man is the 4th movie in the set and has held steady through the set. I loved the duo of William Powell and Myrna Loy and who could forget about Asta? Donna Reed also starred in The Shadow of the Thin Man. The more I watch The Thin Man, the more I want to see other classic detective or "whodunit" movies.

The Thin Man continues to get thinner and thinner as the series continues. Further and further from the comedy we love in the first two

DVDRip HANDJOB.

Oh yes, this is more like it! Much better than the third one, this is the murder mystery comedy I love: Nick and Nora, my beloved alcoholics
