Shadow on the Snow

It's like Bela Tarr combined with Onibaba (even the score reminds me of Japanese horror) and a noir-ish plot. Pretty fucking awesome combination, really. I get the idea that Hungarians aren't a very sunny people. No wonder, Hungary in the early 1990s looks desolate as hell. Though I doubt if it's any better today...anyway, this is a really moody and atmospheric movie that, at 73 minutes, is very efficient without feeling rushed due to its measured pace. See it if you have the chance.
