Shanghai Fortress

Occasionally interesting aerial visuals and one ground level action scene where the humans think to use something other than ineffectual small arms doesn't justify the rest of it.

After seeing a pretty darn solid Chinese sci-fi flick with "The Wandering Earth", I had my hopes up for this similar looking movie, but this one is a boring dud. I can generally look past a dumpster fire of a plot, but pretty boy Lu Han is so atrocious that he makes me want to punch his face, or my TV, or his face on my TV, and maybe even random passers-by.

Few Sci-Fi movies are this boring. It is entirely lackluster and unnecessary. Visuals were sometimes interesting, but the music made it feel boring, and action was worse than watching someone play a video game. Not worthwhile.

I can't remember that movie. I know I've watched it, I kind of liked it, I think? But it's very average and didn't left me a strong impression.
