Gave up on it after 30 minutes of the main character doing nothing at home caressing thins. Pretentious and boring.

Somewhere in between the hate and the praise, this movie exists. It's an interesting concept on paper, but on screen it never quite manages to be anything else.

The definitive movie about the 2020 experience, of course. It tries to be the mumblecore horror somewhere between It Follows and Color out of Space, and I don't think it succeeds, but there's still plenty to like here regarding contemporary life's desperation towards everyday boredom and our collective fear to die.

Hands down one of the worst movies I've ever witnessed in my 3+ decades of life. Amy Seimetz along with the cast and crew must have been high and zooted while this was being made because it doesn't evoke any emotions except wonder ...at how she was able to score/convince michelle rodriguez and Josh Lucas (both in minor roles but still) to star in this pile of steaming excrement. Steer well clear of this abomination. Somewhere on planet earth Amy and Lars Von Trier are making out right now.

For a lot of people, this is probably the worst thing to watch right now (2020...). For me it was the perfect thing, I enjoyed every minute, every facet.

Languidly paces for a film less than 90 minutes, She Dies Tomorrow is anxiety and dread personified. I found it more interesting than enjoyable, but maybe because it is a heavy watch in these bizarre times.

Low-key, oddly hypnotic little oddity feels a bit like what could happen if Malick ever attempted a horror film - could well improve and deepen on a rewatch as the power of the piece comes from the grim mood setting rather than any suspense from the outcome; an abstract consideration of the universal fear, horror and revulsion of considering one's own mortality and how one person's "acceptance" of their fate can disturb and infect all around them. Tougher to score the more I think about it.

Viewed January 19, 2021. Strongest when it's funny in a quietly absurd way, but it gradually falls apart because it doesn't successfully heighten its concept. I at least appreciated that it didn't end with, like, a shot of the entire world crumbling in fear.

Off beat and original, but underdeveloped mood horror.

This thing may be too open ended for its own good—but the incessant combination of mordant humor and existential dread that it generates is downright mesmerizing.

bad gimmicky movie but: "He came up to me, did not introduce himself and launched into this story about one time he hit a cow with his truck. He sat by the cow’s side as the cow died and stared into its eye and watched the life drain out of it. And he felt really bad and felt they had this connection. It was a really intense story. Then he just walked away. And I was like, “Who the fuck is that?” And they’re like, “Oh, that’s James Benning. That’s his way of telling you good job.

The cast and the premise are solid, but Seimetz doesn't do enough with either, and anyone who prefers their films nice and tight will probably be frustrated. To put it mildly. I mean, 18 minutes into the film, after little to nothing has happened so far, one of the main characters suddenly starts playing with the idea of being made into a leather jacket when she dies. So approach with caution, or risk contracting a severe case of extended boredom.

death by fear itself - the greatest horror. i'd rather not consider this parabolic of covid (particularly as it was made prior) as the ideas here are far too intriguing. the lighting and sound was so starkly crisp, the feint whispering voices lent such a troubling air to this although i did feel especially towards the end the creepy factor gave way to a bit of farce in similar light to the invitation or even coherence that undercuts the real horror and leaves you feeling unfulfilled

Love me some Jane Adams content. And Kate Lynn Sheil. and Chris Messina and Josh Lucas and Michelle Rodriguez and Olivia Taylor Dudley despite the latter two not being around for long JESUS CHRIST THIS CAST IS STACKED FOR A SMALL FILM- Anyway I'll have to will a future for this world right now just to see what Amy Seimetz has up her sleeve in that future because I want more. I haven't felt this way about a filmmaker since Neil Breen

The writer, director, and producers of this movie should never again attempt to make another movie. This is one of the worst, stupid and useless productions ever produced. It is nearly a complete waste of time, money, and effort. It is confusing, irritating, and pointless. This shabby production was not worthwhile. BOO!

I liked this movie better when it was called Melancholia. But for all the film's flaws - and there are several, mostly the way it just mumbles its way around any sort of resolution to anything at all - Seimitz' cast delivers some good performances and there's a mood to this film that's very effective. I just wish it knew what it wanted to be effective AT.

What is the point of this? It's an interesting concept in theory, but it never does anything with it. The movie just floats by, absorbed in its own quiet dread, never letting any of us in on the secret.
