Is this just another shitty unneeded sequel? Well...Yes, but at least it was somewhat entertaining and miles above the dreck that was Trolls. I can't say I was disappointed since I didn't expect much but I was glad I that I got to watch it at the theater for free and didn't have to pay to see this.

I mean it’s fairly crap, but I suppose not unbearably so. It kind of reaches its peak with Barry the gnome being permanently stuck on the shitter. It never gets any better than that.

Maybe the best gnome movie ever - I wouldn't know since it is the only gnome movie I've seen. I don't know why Elton John is featured so much (I thought The Bitch is Back was in poor taste) or why someone wants to smash gnomes, but all in all this is bad.

I enjoyed the Incredibles 2 trailer more before this movie started.

Not even gnoming him down can diminish the great Sherlock Holmes! Perhaps not the funniest of animation films, but it's perfectly entertaining regardless.

I guess the point of seeing "Sherlock Gnomes" is to be reminded why you prefer Pixar. The movie is below 80 minutes, which was a nice surprise. Incredibly predictable, but after all, it's a family animation. The jokes were cheesy, some of them hit... a spot. Well, I watched it to kill some time, and it surely fulfilled that purpose.

Colourful sequel is fun for a while, but without the strong narrative spine of JULIET to riff on, it quickly loses point and purpose and runs out of steam (a gnome-spoof of a specific Holmes and Watson story might have worked better). A frantic (but nonsensical) climax is more exhausting than thrilling. As before, there are some pleasant and prevalent Elton John covers on the soundtrack, but to what end?

An inoffensive kids' adaptation of Sherlock Holmes, unless you dislike gnomes (I'm so-so). Good double twist since for the longest time I thought I had things figured out---they really telegraphed Watson well in advance. I'm not a fan of the action hero Sherlock. Fav scene: squirrel chase.

I actually think this surpassed the original in humor and animation. I loved the hand-drawn cutscenes of Sherlock's inner workings and would imagine that it was a good representation of how highly intellect people process information. I just wish Gnomeo and Juliet had been dropped from this sequel because their presence and story arcs were absolutely pointless and trite.
