Pink dons a deerstalker cap and investigates the disappearance of his chocolate cake... which is profoundly silly, as ratiocination, no matter how brilliant, can't possibly do much good in the Pinkverse, where nothing makes sense, not even the existence of a pink panther itself. Perhaps that was the joke, but it's not executed at all wittily or cleverly. Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dali were making anti-realistic short films much better than this decades before
