Absolutely unbearable for large stretches. I couldn't wait for the end and somehow that's a good thing.

Found the main character frustrating and the stress kind of contrived (visual distortion plus eerie music over and over)

More anxiety-inducing than Uncut Gems.

I hoped for much more than what Shiva Baby managed to deliver. It was just 77min long and it was still too long. The lesbian couple dynamic was just off and unnecessary. Rachel Sennott was an unconvincing highlight of the movie.

Couldn't get more awkward and hilarious than this. Strikes a perfect balance between cringe, self-doubt and social horror. An enthralling debut that few filmmakers can pull off. Felt so awkward I had to pause a million times.

too straight but its ok

One of the most stressful, anxiety inducing & tense films I have ever seen, and it's not even a horror movie. It's basically a comedy. A dark comedy, but a comedy. And I just have to commend how incredibly easy Seligman makes it look to write that level of tension and maintain it across a full hour. My only real complaint is the lack of resolution, or more specifically the lack of real comeuppance for Danielle's jackass boytoy. Beyond that, a mighty entertaining watch. Recommend. Highly.

Enough material for a short film, but not enough for a full-length. The social commentary and focus on the central characters subjectivity aren't interesting enough for this much exposition.
