Shokutaku no nai ie

IMO VERY Japanese with unspoken sense of obligation despite no involvement in the trigger event. IMO must have some idea of what caused fuss - film, tho fiction, is fact based. (NOTE: NOT foreknowledge of plot here) perhaps a Japanese native would rate this higher. Slow pace tho plot always progresses. To me, sad as family crumbles around steadfast traditionalist dad (is he right tho?) who in end feels all he stood for is betrayed by own nation (& son) tho perhaps end has brighter path for him.
