Shorts

For a child, Shorts will be a colorful, imaginative, and possibly confusing watch, given that its relatively simple story is convoluted -- for a kid -- by being told out of order. It will be somewhat funny and moderately enjoyable. For an adult, its creativity will be appreciated but the humor will fall flat and the only laughs that will be generated will be from watching good actors embarrass themselves in a children's movie. Shorts works primarily when it keeps us distracted.

Fast paced editing was appreciated but overall I didn't much enjoy it. Wish Rodriguez would spend less time on his family flicks.

Rodriguez's kids movies are still bad -- for me, he should just focus on his grindhouse material, which is really fun --, but at least Shorts shows some acuity of vision and nice special effects.

Good live action cartoon family movie. Thought the booger part was kinda dull. Otherwise, way better than most cartoons. Particularly among pictures i've seen this year. More fun than UP, more soul than Aliens in the Attic, further diminishes the gunk of Ice Age 3. Actually fun.

Nonlinearity for kids. Aggressively cute, garishly bright family fantasy mashes together, in no particular order, a magical multicolor Wishing Rock, gherkin-sized aliens, a giant booger, a telepathic baby, Siamese-twin spouses, among other things. Respectable cast above the tot level.

A silly kids film that's better than it deserves to be.

Disclaimer: I really like stupid kid movies. I really liked this movie. It made me LOL more times than most adult comedies.

It yet again was a disappointment. i don't know why but most of our directors just can't make good children movies. it however not was a mess like his few other children movies. it had a nice and limited Cartoonish type of visual effects that were there to please younger children. it is a movie for them they will like it and enjoy it very much.
